1.
Whirl ‘round to hear that howling sound Some things always seem to ring so differently out loud Oh Oh Oh Oh Nothing good ever comes through troubled minds Kicking up the dust won’t put us back in time Don’t let yourself fall to worry’s wisdom The future holds more despite your suspicion Oh Oh Oh Oh Just keep from looking all too far away The sirens, they are calling you each and everyday Eyes can’t see through, what lies ahead of you Well moments come and go And we’re just getting started But, by and by we’ll grow I know, you’re reaching up ahead And I hear you, but I can’t see that far Just hold on Whirl ‘round to hear that howling sound Some things always seem to ring so differently out loud Just keep from looking all too far away The sirens, they are calling you each and everyday Oh Oh Oh Oh

I keep thinking I’m growing old But too few years and souvenirs halt my thoughts so These rolling plains hum the same dull song But chasing trains is all the same as moving right along I keep wondering, where’d we go I wish I knew I was there before time hurried through I’ve been here before And time tells a while more But that old lamppost still holds a flicker without fail Light your cigarette Smoke fills your silhouette All worn out, but those words still ring the same I’m trying to fit the pieces with the edges sinking in I know what runs through my blood, but don’t it run through everyone The words aren’t coming now, the gears are all locked up Everyday I see the same unfamiliar faces scoff I’ve been told, that angst is hollow But that requisition lies beneath your shadow I’ve been here before And those ticking hands seem to move unsure While that roaring wind, she’s moving swiftly ‘cross the bend And while you have your after dinner smoke I’m losing traction ’n wind is slipping through my coat And I know that mind can’t help but run, but that won’t change the end outcome I’m hearing words too few and far between So wait a moment I’ll take the cheap little desk and old antique But there’s just no telling if that holds right
3.
You’ve been swinging ‘round for quite some time Well all seems still without your drive That whistle’s ringing out from this old barn Ripping out the nails under the ground Of all the times you’ve swung on by and shuddered through my ear You’re moving quietly along with rage that drives you up a wall Oh, Oh, Oh So maybe there’s just something that you can feel But that beggar seems to think it’s awfully real So he’s building up his fortress in a mess Before the cold takes the breath out from his chest Of all the times you’ve swung on by and shuddered through my ear The pace is coming on quite strong, a craze is driving up that wall Oh, Oh, Oh Oh how you were shaking, circuits were breaking Oh but I knew, we were making way through the beast and his roaring thrall Of all the times you’ve swung on by and shuddered through my ear But a silver lining lies in that you don’t fuel your own fire Lines slide shivering through my teeth Drag curls through that ocean breeze And I feel your patience thinning, wavering back and forth There’s a reason that door is slamming shut Oh, Oh, Oh
